As we are all facing the recession, we struggle for things to do that are both fun, but won’t break the wallet. One of the things that almost everyone does is go to the movies.

Confused about what to see, or what to look forward to?

Never fear! Here is a list of some movies that are coming out during the next couple of months, along with a brief synopsis of each. More are to come, as the year goes on. Happy viewing!

February

Valentine’s Day
Intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles break up and make up, based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine's Day. It features half of Hollywood, including Jamie Foxx, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Anne Hathaway, and Bradley Cooper.

The Wolfman
Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man (Benicio Del Toro) is bitten, and subsequently cursed by a werewolf. With the help of his family, he must learn how to reverse the curse and save the community. Also stars Anthony Hopkins.

Shutter Island
A drama set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is thought to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island. Also stars Michelle Williams and Ben Kingsley.

The Crazies
After a mysterious toxin contaminates a small town’s water supply, the civilians suddenly lose sanity and then die. It’s the movie with the creepy, but extremely vague commercials that have been playing like crazy (pun intended) on all the channels.

Alice in Wonderland
Tim Burton’s spin on the classic story of Alice, who follows a white rabbit down a hole and embarks on a magical journey to get back home, meeting interesting characters along the way. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter, with Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.

Green Zone
After discovering covert and faulty intelligence, a U.S. Army officer goes undercover as he hunts for weapons of mass destruction in an unstable region. Matt Damon stars.

Greenberg
A New Yorker moves to Los Angeles in order to figure out his life while he house-sits for his brother, and he soon begins a romance with his brother's assistant. Starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Our Family Wedding
A black man and a Hispanic woman plan to get married. The only problem? Their families. The movie examines interracial dating and the difficulties the couple faces blending their families together. Stars America Ferrara.

The Bounty Hunter
A bounty hunter (Gerard Butler) learns that his next target is his ex-wife (Jennifer Aniston), a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the two find themselves on an exciting adventure.

April

Why Did I Get Married Too?
The sequel to Tyler Perry’s hit, Why Did I Get Married?. The four couples return for their annual vacation, but Perry promises that one of these pairs will not survive the end of the movie. Starring Janet Jackson, Tyler Perry, and Jill Scott.

Date Night
A case of mistaken identity turns a boring married couple's (Steve Carell, Tina Fey) attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous. Also stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.

Death at a Funeral
This remake features a family who reunites for the patriarch’s funeral. Family secrets and misplaced bodies add to the chaos. Another film featuring half of Hollywood, including Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Danny Glover, Zoe Saldana, James Marsden, Martin Lawrence, and Luke Wilson.

The Back-Up Plan
After a woman (Jennifer Lopez) decides that love will never be on her side, she conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet the man of her dreams on the very same day.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
A remake of the classic, as the burnt killer, Freddy Krueger, murders people in their sleep, resulting in their deaths in reality. Starring Kellan Lutz and Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy.
