Van Halen Lineup Announces Tour with David Lee Roth
Van Halen will announce a 50-date reunion tour across America, with original lead singer David Lee Roth, at a Hollywood news conference next week.
The band will be on the road starting early October.
Van Halen formed in the 1970s with the lineup of Roth, brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony. Roth split from the group in the mid-1980s, setting off on his own solo career. He was replaced by Sammy Hagar, who stayed with the band until 1996 before being replaced by Gary Cherone from 1997-1999. Michael Anthony left the group last year.
The upcoming trek will feature Roth with the Van Halen brothers and Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, on bass.
Van Halen last toured with Sammy Hagar in 2004, grossing nearly $40 million. The band has sold over 80 million albums worldwide.
