Vanity Fair’s Top Rising Stars
Vanity Fair highlights Hollywood’s fast-rising stars in their latest issue.
Lily Collins:
She is the daughter of Phil Collins, and recently, and most notably, plays Sandra Bullock’s daughter in the film, “Blind Side.”
“I always find myself wishing I was on set,” she said. “I look forward to getting dirty, getting lost in the moment. I get really excited just talking about it!”
Selena Gomez:
She stars as a sassy teenager in the Disney hit, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and has launched a music career. The star spoke to the magazine about her more serious side—she is currently reading a book, titled “The Bad Seed.”
“Well, I’m not sure if I should say it,” she said about her reading choice. “It’s about a child who’s a murderer.”
Vanessa Hudgens:
“High School Musical” 1, 2, and 3 shot her to fame, and taught her about paparazzi madness.
“Oh, my God! No way! So cool,” was Hudgens reaction the first day she was asked for a photo, she said. The second day, “Maybe it’s not as cool as I thought it’s going to be.”
Isabel Lucas:
She is probably best known for her part in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” as a long tongue android, but Lucas has a passion for social justice. She has worked on irrigation projects in Namibia, raised money for orphanages in India, and personally combatted whaling off of Japan, Vanity Fair reported.
Amber Heard:
Dropped out of Catholic school in Austin, Texas, and made her way to Hollywood, where she landed a role in the movie, “Friday Night Lights.”
“Within the first week of shooting I knew I was going to be an actress,” she said.
Zoё Kravitz:
Daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, she admits that she quickly got an agent when word got out that she wanted to get into acting. She has her head on straight and explained that she stays away from people who act stupid.
“I’m so close to my parents. I get it,” she said. “They’d smack the hell out of me if I ever became a cokehead,” she said.
