Vegas Gets Spamalot'd

Broadway's Spamalot will call the city home for 10 years

Sin City beware, the Tony award-winning musical Spamalot will hit the strip at Wynn Las Vegas in 2007. Casino man Steve Wynn will lend his Nevada resort for the $50 million musical based on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The contract will have Spamalot playing 12 times a week for an entire decade, so don't fret if Vegas isn't in your vacation budget just yet.

Audiences of the future show can expect lots of laughs. "One of the things I've missed in Las Vegas is wit - something that is really funny," Wynn told the Associated Press. Other Broadway favorites, Hairspray and The Phantom of the Opera are also scheduled to hit the city where what happens there stays there in about a year.
