A Very Brady Scandal?
It has been 33 years since the iconic "Brady Bunch" ended, yet the public is still enamored by what went on behind the scenes of their favorite family. No family can be that perfect; there has to be some drama right? Well, Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady, is coming out with a behind the scenes tell-all Brady biography. It will focus on what she went through during her formative Brady years. She tells a tale of bulimia, depression and cocaine.
According to the New York Post, in the book she will reveal that she had an affair with co-star Eve Plumb, who played Jan. However, William Morrow of HarperCollins denies that there is any such confession in the book.
"We have to assume it's not true and see what happens when the book comes out," People magazine assistant managing editor and Early Show contributor Jess Cagle told CBS. "The amazing thing -- this is giant news -- it's been 33 years since the show went off the air. Still, we're so titillated by any misbehavior of the Brady kids."
McCormick is following in the footsteps of her on screen brother Barry Williams, Greg Brady, who wrote Growing up Brady. The book became a TV movie starring Adam Brody as Williams. McCormick's book, Here's the Story is set to hit bookshelves in 2008.
