VH1 picks up Jenny McCarthy talk show

There are a lot of stars who are set to receive their own talk shows, including Katie Couric, Kathy Griffin and Russell Brand to name a few, but now you can add a former Playboy bunny to that list.

Reuters reported former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy is working on her own talk show with VH1.

Titled The Jenny McCarthy Show, the show will center around Jim Carrey’s ex as she interviews guests and talks about the day’s biggest headlines in entertainment news.

According to Fox News, Viacom, who owns VH1, is very excited about having her as part of their family.

"Jenny is a great comedic talent with a sharp wit and magnetic personality, and we couldn't be happier to welcome her to the VH1 family," Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production Jeff Olde said in the statement.

McCarthy is tweeted that she is also “so excited” about the show, which was originally developed back in 2009 for Oprah Winfrey’s network.

Rumor is that the 39-year-old later backed out of the deal with OWN last summer because she wasn’t happy with producers.

And while she star is more well-known for her acting career and posing nude than anything else, she does have experience as a talk show host.

Back in 1995 she hosted the MTV dating show Singled Out for two years.
