Vick to Play Thursday
USA Today reports that Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has confirmed that quarterback Michael Vick will play in the Eagles' preseason game Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This will mark Vick's first NFL snap since 2006.
According to the Washington Post, Andy Reid said at a press conference, "We'll see how it works out and give him a couple shots in there and see what he can do. . . . I think he's excited to get out there. I'm sure he'll have a couple butterflies with it being a couple years since he's been in, but I think he's excited to get back to doing what he does."
The Eagles signed Michael Vick on August 13 after he spent nearly two years in federal prison for running a dog fighting gambling ring, states the Kansas City Star. It'll be interesting to see if the former Madden NFL cover model still has the speed and quickness that made him a star.
