On Monday’s episode of The View, tension struck co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters, as Shepherd chastised the way Walters used the N-word.
The topic at hand was the hunting camp that Texas governor Rick Perry uses, but although Whoopi Goldberg also used the word, Goldberg had it out for the way Walters said it.
Goldberg said the word while quoting presidential candidate Herman Caine, and Walter used it afterwards in context of the first quote.
Walters even said, “It's very hard for me to say. … The fact that I just said it now gives me chills,” but Shepherd maintained "I didn't like the way you said it,” People reports.
"I don't know if it's a semantics thing, but it's something that goes through my body,” she continued. She also told Goldberg that the way she said the word was “fine,” as "You said it a different way."
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Goldberg also said that they can’t “pretend” like the word doesn’t exist.
