The View says goodbye to Star Jones Reynolds

Star Jones Reynolds told "People" she feels as though she was fired after her nine years as co - host on the show "The View."

You can't take the view out of a star, but apparently you can take the Star out of "The View."

Star Jones Reynolds, host of the gossip show "The View" since it's conception nine years ago, told "People" magazine her contract would not be renewed for the show's tenth season - days before Rosie O' Donnell was announced as the new host.When Jones Reynolds, 44, graciously announced her retreat on the show itself, the studio audience gave her a standing ovation.

"After much prayer and counsel I feel like this is the right time to tell you that the show is moving in another direction for its tenth season and I will not be returning as co-host next year,"
 she told them.Her tone was slightly different when she spoke to "People."

"What you don't know is that my contract was not renewed for the tenth season. I feel like I was fired," Star told the magazine.
