Vin Diesel to Star as Another Driver
Vin Diesel has not gotten tired of filming movies behind the wheels of a car, and with the recent success of the fourth "Fast and the Furious" film, it's not much of a surprise.
Last month, a video game called The Wheelman was released with Diesel lending his voice to the main character and producing. Now, Variety has reported that he's also set to star in a big screen adaptation of the game.
Paramount Pictures is helming the film version of an amazing driver who has stopped working but decides to leave retirement to help a woman from his past. Diesel is starring as Milo Burik and producing. John Singleton, of 2 Fast 2 Furious and Shaft, is directing the movie.
The plot drags Milo to Barcelona and throws explosions and gun fights in his way and even a gang war.
Since Diesel does not have much else on the horizon, production should begin soon, going along with the original idea of the game and film having close release dates.
