Was Jackson's Death a Homicide?
Various reports have been surfacing over whether the Los Angeles Police Department is treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, according to FOXNews.com.
According to NME.com, TMZ cited several sources that pointed to Jackson's death as a homicide. The report said that the LAPD was focusing on Jackson's personal physician, Conrad Murray. TMZ said that sources said there is evidence that Murray administered Propofol, which may have been the primary cause of Jackson's death. The exact cause should be determined after toxicology reports are completed this week.
On the other hand, according to MSNBC.com, Access Hollywood called the LAPD and was told that the investigation was "ongoing" and that they did not know where TMZ had gotten the information about the treating the case as a homicide. A spokesperson for Murray's attorney said that the doctor has not been served any subpoenas or search warrants. Investigators have questioned Murray once since Jackson's death.
According to FOXNews.com, Jackson had a well known history of taking prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia was found in his home after his death.
