While Demi Moore goes through her personal issues and has been forced to drop out of Lovelace due to a recent hospital stint, the role of feminist Gloria Steinem has already been recast.
Weeds actress Mary Louise Parker, 47, will replace Moore for the role, Us Weekly has reported.
The film has already started production in Los Angeles, and stars Amanda Seyfried as the ‘70s porn star Linda Lovelace. Steinem’s involvement in the story is minor, likely making it easy to recast.
Moore isn’t the only actress who had to drop out of the film. Lindsay Lohan was meant to play the lead, but had to drop out due to her legal troubles. Seyfried then stepped in as the lead.
As for Moore, her life is seemingly spiraling out of control since she announced her split from husband of six years Ashton Kutcher.
A source said of the actress "Her life is completely in crisis," adding, "She is turning 50 and has no idea who she is or what her focus should be."
On Monday night, she was sent to the hospital after it was reported she had suffered seizures. Her rep said she was being treated for "exhaustion and improve her overall health."
According to Entertainment Weekly, authorities are going to release the 911 call made from Moore’s home that night, however, it will edit out information about her health condition at the recommendation of the Los Angeles city attorney’s office. The information can’t be released under federal law.
