Weezer Finishes Sixth Album

The record will be released over the summer.

Throughout this past summer, there were hundreds of rumors about Weezer's sixth album being done and ready for release.

But they were all wrong.

It is only now, on November 14, that Weezer has officially completed their sixth album. They will release it over the summer of 2009. The band's front man, Rivers Cuomo, says to expect it by June.

Details about the record, not named "Tout Ensemble" (one of the many rumors), are limited at this time. The only thing that we can report is that Rivers described the album as "meaty, crunchy and melodic."

"We have one song left to mix and then it's on to mastering. We should all be done very soon," Cuomo wrote on the band's MySpace page.

"The album will be out in June so with any luck you will hear a new Weezer song on the radio soon."

Can't wait.
