Wentz and Simpson to Play "Bonnie and Clyde"
Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are running from the law.
Or at least they will be portraying characters who do, in an upcoming episode of the CBS show, CSI: NY. According to EW.com, in the episode, the duo will play a gangster couple, inspired by legendary outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.
The episode should air on CBS on March 18, 2009.
Married couple Wentz and Simpson, despite being primarily known as musicians and reality show stars, have both had acting experience in the past. Wentz was featured as the member of a band - portrayed by his real life group, Fall Out Boy - who has a romantic relationship with one of the main characters on CW drama One Tree Hill.
Simpson has also acted on occasion, including guest roles on early-decade hit shows like Seventh Heaven and Malcolm in the Middle, as well as playing a lead character in the 2005 film, Undiscovered.
The husband and wife team recently welcomed their first child. Bronx Mowgli Wentz - a boy - was born on November 20, 2008.
