Westminster Abbey Closes Doors to Film Adaptation of "The Da Vinci Code."

The 940-year old church denounces the book's message

Like most popular novels, the infamous "The Da Vinci Code," which you couldn't avoid at airports and bookstores a couple months ago, is being made into a Blockbuster movie. One of the scenes was supposed to be filmed in Britain's Westminster Abbey but due to its controversial message, which church officials are deeming "theologically unsound," the church turned the producers down. Among the anti-Christian themes in the book is one that alleges that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children (the Bible states that Jesus never married and was childless). Eastern England's Lincoln Cathedral officials seem to have no problem with the Dan Brown novel and are allowing the upcoming film, which stars Tom Hanks, to be filmed in their church.
