WGA Nominations Announced
The Writers Guild of America announced its TV, radio and news nominations, Monday, with 30 Rock, Breaking Bad and The Simpsons claiming the most, Variety reports.
Garnering three nods in the single comedy episode category, 30 Rock also claimed a spot in the comedy series category. It will compete with Entourage, The Office, The Simpsons and Weeds in this category.
The Simpsons, in addition to its comedy nod, all but dominated the animation category, claiming four nominations. Two episodes of King of the Hill were also nominated.
Breaking Bad received two nominations in the single drama episode category, as well as a nod for new series. This category is shared with Fringe, In Treatment, Life on Mars and True Blood.
The drama category featured Dexter, Friday Night Lights, Lost, Mad Men and The Wire.
The winners will be announced February 7 during simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
