What Is Lil Wayne Doing Before He Goes To Prison?

On Tuesday, Lil Wayne will be going to prison for felony gun possession for 12 months. But for the next few days, Wayne has been working hard on making videos and recording his newest album, Tha Carter IV.

Lil Wayne’s Rebirth LP was just released last week, and if circumstances were different he would probably be touring with it. He did have a short run of shows around Christmas with Young Money, a cast of artists signed to Wayne’s recording label.

Nicki Minaj, a member of Young Money, said, “The tour was crazy. This last tour, I was only able to go out with them twice. It was the same energy. I don’t know how he does it with that amount of time onstage. His shows are always exciting.”

Since he has been off the road, Wayne has been spending most of his time in Miami. He has been recording songs for his new album, Tha Carter IV and he has been shooting videos for the songs “Girl I” and “Roger That.”

He has also been working on a video for the song “Drop The World,” Wayne’s collaboration with Eminem.
