What Would Happen if Conan O’Brien Moved to Fox?

Many people have been wondering how a late-night show with Conan O’Brien would change if he went to Fox.

Although there is nothing official yet, there are still rumors milling around about Conan O’Brien having a late night talk show on Fox when he is allowed back on the air in September. “We’re giving it a lot of thought and a lot of examination,” Rupert Murdoch, the head of News Corp., said.

If O’Brien had a one hour-long show on Fox, certain shows would have to rearrange their schedule. Currently, Fox affiliates and Fox-owned stations normally play syndicated sitcoms in the 11pm to midnight slot. If O’Brien had a talk show in that time slot, shows such as Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and The Office won’t be played as often.

And, since NBC owns O’Brien’s intellectual property, some things may or may not be able to be aired on a new talk show. For example, certain bits that O’Brien does, such as “In the Year 3000” and “Triumph the Insult Comic Dog” might not be able to move over to a Fox show.
