The ratings for the 2006 Winter Olympics from Torino, Italy may fall short in comparison with the ratings of the 2002 Winter Olympics from Salt Lake City, but the 2006 Winter Olympics on NBC is still gathering a considerable audience with 19.72 million viewers according to Monday, Feb. 13 ratings.

Still slaughtering the competition, FOX's American Idol laid the smack down with a whopping 23.17 million viewers leading Tuesday, Feb. 14 ratings, and followed by 18.64 million viewers for Torino.

In the basic cable network arena, USA comes out on top as the best-rated network with 1.3 million viewers for the week of Feb. 6.

Kids ages 6-11 voted Disney No.1 for the 45th consecutive week. Tweens, children ages 9-14, also ranked the channel No.1 for the 40th consecutive week. But it doesn't stop there, Disney Channel's High School Musical scooped up top-rated basic cable telecast of the day on Monday, Feb. 13.

E!Online is hot on the heels of MTV.com in terms of website traffic. E!Online has had considerable increases in traffic in the past month to the tune of 45% since from December, 2005, and 3.95 million unique visitors for the month of January 2006 to boot.
