White Stripes Shares Tour Experience in New Film

The White Stripes plans to release 2007 tour footage in film.

Jack and Meg White are ready to relive their glory days. The White Stripes is in the process of compiling a film of their 2007 Canadian tour, according to Rolling Stone.

What makes this flick any different than other tours, eh?

The rock duo took time to perform in some pretty odd venues during their tour. From a Winnipeg transit bus to the classroom of a local British Colombian school and even a kids-only show, the shows were unforgettable and unique. No Canadian city was off limits, with stops in every province including smaller cities most bands write off.

About 40 songs are being edited into a captivating film by guitarist Jack White before being released in its full form in movie theaters. Unlike most tour films, which focus on professional behind the scenes footage, the White Stripes depended on handheld cameras to capture their live performances. A release date has not been set for the film but the group has confirmed that a seventh album is in the works.
