Whitney Houston Admitted to Paris Hospital

Whitney Houston is suffering from an upper respiratory infection and has been forced to reschedule concerts in Glasgow, Manchester and Paris

Whitney Houston had been scheduled to perform in Manchester, England, on Thursday and Friday and she also had a concert slated for Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland. However, the R&B diva has been forced to cancel the shows and reschedule them being hospitalized in order to receive treatment for an upper respiratory infection. Houston is suffering from lingering nose and throat problems to go along with the upper respiratory infection and was unable to perform.

She was forced to pull out of a scheduled performance on Tuesday in Paris and a statement that has been distributed on the Manchester Evening News Arena’s official website reads, “Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection. Upon medical advice Whitney has been advised that she cannot perform to allow her time to recover.”

According to MTV.com, critics and fans claimed that Houston’s performances in Australia back in February were not up to her standard since she struggled to hit certain notes that were difficult to reach. It is unknown at this time as to whether or not her health problems detrimentally affected her performances in February, though her representatives initially denied that she had been experiencing health problems.
