Whitney Houston Wins Custody

Wednesday, Judge Franz E. Miller approved singer Whitney Houston's divorce from Bobby Brown and awarded Houston custody of their daughter, Bobbi Christina. Houston could be seen wiping away tears.

Houston first filed for separation from Brown in September of 2006, before filing for divorce the next month. The couple married in 1992 and had only the one child together.

Over the course of their marriage, Brown was arrested several times for drug and alcohol related incidents and even had his own reality show on Bravo. Houston entered rehab twice for an addiction to crack cocaine, despite her famous exclamation that "crack is whack" and that she was too rich to smoke crack.

Since the split, Houston has been working with Clive Davis, President of J Records, on a new album. She has also been spotted with, and is believed to be dating, Brandy's younger brother, Ray J.

Brown's and Houston's divorce will be finalized towards the end of April. Brown's lawyer has already confirmed that they will file a petition to overturn the judge's decision on custody.
