Who Will Play Sarah Palin on "SNL"?
Casey Wilson may play Sarah Palin on this weekend's premiere of Saturday Night Live, but that's not for sure.
The other big news is that Maya Rudolph, who left the show last year, might come back to play Michelle Obama.
Both possibilities were discussed by Lorne Michaels, the executive producer of Saturday Night Live, during a recent conference call.
"I think Casey read the part of Sarah Palin [in this week's read-throughs] and I do have someone in mind to play Michelle Obama." The reporter asked, "Who?" and Michaels responded by saying, "Who? My hope was that I'd get Maya Rudolph."
At this point, neither one has been confirmed, but what is set in stone is that Michael Phelps will host the premiere, Lil' Wayne will be the musical guest and Barack Obama will appear in at least one sketch.
Michaels has also had talks with Tina Fey about coming back and playing Sarah Palin, which is another reason to watch Saturday night, when the season premiere of SNL airs.
