Will and Grace Creator's Given a Pilot for ABC
Do you miss Will & Grace? And by Will & Grace, I mean the good episodes not the overly disappointing series finale. Well if you were one of the many viewers who fell in love with the straight interior decorator and gay lawyer, be on the lookout for a new show from their creators, David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. A new sitcom with a similar theme may be in the works.
The duo had a spec script before the WGA strike and have now been given the go-ahead for the pilot by ABC. According to tvsquad.com, the show revolves around two friends who are also business partners. And get this, one's gay and one's straight! The premise behind the show is that both friends start relationships around the same time. It sounds like it has the Will & Grace-esque comedy and hopefully their relationship too.
Kohan and Mutchnick had great success with Will & Grace, but have also had some duds like the short-lived Good Morning Miami. Only time will tell whether this as yet titled pilot will make it onto ABC next year.
