Will Ferrell Welcomes a New Baby Boy

Will Ferrell and his wife, Viveca Paulin, welcomed their son, Axel, Saturday morning in Los Angeles. This is Ferrell and Paulin’s third son, along with Magnus, who is five, and Mattias, who is three.

Paulin worked until the very last minute before she gave birth to the baby boy, appearing with Ferrell on the last episode of Conan O’Brien hosting The Tonight Show. They performed the song “Free Bird” at the very end of the show, and just a few hours later they were headed to the delivery room.

Ferrell and Paulin first met in an acting class in the summer of 1991 at the South Coast Repertory Theater’s eight-week professional acting conservatory.
