Ever since he was the Bachelor, Jake Pavelka has dabbled in a bit of everything. Before the reality show, he was simply a pilot but is now known for his past gigs on The Bachelor, Bachelor Pad, Dancing with the Stars, and Drop Dead Diva. Pavelka recently announced that his next job is appearing as a guest host for Chippendales in Las Vegas.
Pavelka made it clear to The Hollywood Reporter that he will not be stripping alongside the chiseled cast. If you’re a Pavelka fan and want to see more of his body, have a little faith. He could certainly be persuaded when interacting with a live audience full of feisty women.
Starting Feb. 23, the reality star will guest host for a duration of four weeks at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. During this time, Pavelka will be getting the audience fired up before the show and will then wrap up each performance.
“You know, I’ve always loved the idea of a live audience. Hosting in front of an unpredictable crowd forces you to draw from the energy of the crowd. It’s challenging but also exciting to work off that kind of adrenaline, knowing no two shows will be the same,” Pavelka said.
In the midst of his excitement, it seems the former Bachelor is well aware that he will be receiving criticism for his new job.
“I look at this opportunity to stretch my limits as a performer. I don’t want to limit myself based on fear of backlash,” he explained.
Pavelka is not the first celebrity to grace the Chippendales’ stage. Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jeff Timmons from the pop group, 98 Degrees, are also Chippendales alumni.
Don’t expect Pavelka to get a desk job working nine to five anytime soon. Entertainment is certainly where his heart lies but the question is, does he have the talent to succeed?
