Will Puerto Rico Decide the Presidency?

In such a tight race, U.S. territories could decide outcome of Democratic nom.

As the Clinton/Obama race draws to a close, the two Democratic candidates are neck and neck.

Even though pundits insisted on declaring Barack Obama's victory prematurely, Hillary Clinton has held her opponent almost to a draw in the fight for votes and delegates in the Democratic Party's primary election.

Only seven states, plus Puerto Rico and Guam, remain on the primary schedule. Obama is ahead by about 130 delegates once super-delegates are included. The Democratic Convention, however, hosts more than 4,000 delegates.

The auxiliary issue is of the U.S. territories and their inclusion in the party nominating system. Puerto Rico, for example, votes on June 1 and has more delegates than half the American states. Their delegates could decide the outcome of a presidential nomination considering the closeness of the race. They could even decide the presidency.
