Will Smith Getting Restless with Time Off

Smith was asked by his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, to take a year off from making movies after finishing the promoting of Hancock.

Following the filming of the successful Hancock, Jada Pinkett Smith asked that her 39-year-old husband Will take a break from making movies for one year.

But now, Pinkett Smith is regretting her request, because her husband has become a "do-it-yourself fanatic."

"It's been tricky," Pinkett Smith says. "We just moved into the new house not too long ago and he's basically knocking walls down, he's digging up stuff. He's beating it to death. . . . I told him, 'Going back to work after Thanksgiving may be a good idea.'"

At this point, there's no word what Smith's next movie gig would be, though it seems that whatever he decides to do will be successful.

But, interestingly enough, Pinkett Smith says that with her husband's time off, a number of projects could arise for the entire family.

"He decided he wanted to focus on developing projects for the family," she says. "So now, it's all of these excruciating meetings about these movies and projects for the family that he wants to develop. But, you know, that's a beautiful thing that he wants to do that."
