Will Smith Makes Splash In The UK

Drunken super hero breaks new ground.

Will Smith was on hand for the UK premiere of his latest film Hancock, which tells the story of a bumbling super hero, BBC News reports.

The event took place at London's Leicester Square, and Smith's co-stars - Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron - were also on hand. The trio lived it up - signing autographs, mingling, and posing for pictures.

"You guys always take really good care of me... this is a beautiful thing," Smith raved to the crowd.

The 39-year old stars in Hancock, a film which blends many different genres and facets. Part action flick, part hero's journey, part comedy, it tries, as Smith admitted, "to just break genre and create something...different."

The main character, played by Smith, is a heavy drinker and a terribly selfish person, until he saves the life of a PR executive. Then he is faced with his greatest challenge - accepting the fact that he is human, processing emotions and vulnerabilities.

Smith humorously summarized: "Hancock is a bit of a drinker and he's super, which is a bit of a dangerous combination because he flies drunk."
