Will There Be an All Beatles "Rock Band?"

An announcement is expected tomorrow but reportedly it's a yes.

You knew it was coming but it's still exciting!

Attention gamers! Hollywoodinsider.ew.com has reported that an all Beatles version of the hit game, Rock Band, is expected to be finally in the works.

EW reports that, according to their sources, an announcement is expected tomorrow, giving the how, when and where of the global licensing agreement.

It is also reported that the game will be comparable to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in that it will be "stand alone" without the need of downloads.

Sadly, it is not known yet whether the game will feature the famous four's likenesses or not.

But that is surely to be made up for, as the game reportedly will go through the entirety of the Beatles career from Rubber Soul all the way through Yellow Submarine and beyond.

The game has apparently been a hope of the corporations surrounding the music video game franchises for the last few months.

In June, Harmonix (the company behind Rock Band) CEO Alex Rigopulos had said he wanted the Beatles along with other "titanic bands of that era that have a special place in peoples' hearts." Also on the list were Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones.

This would mean two of five are already in, as Rock Band has reportedly already acquired the rights to AC/DC songs.

The other hopeful for rights to the Beatles, Guitar Hero co-founder Kai Huang, had said in August that it would be tough getting the needed rights, as, "The Beatles are very unique: They're a band and an industry who have always been very guarded about their music and careful about who they choose as partners."

He continued, "We've been waiting as everybody else in the world has been waiting to get their music."

The exact workings for the rights to the songs may not be known, but it's almost assured fans will just be happy to get their hands on copies of the game.

Interesting to contemplate is if Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has reportedly sold more than a million units since its June release, how astronomical will the sales for a Beatles game be?
