Will There Be a Britney Spears-Themed 'Glee' Episode?

After the much anticipated Madonna-themed episode of Glee proved popular, it seems as though Britney Spears may have a chance to follow in her idol's footsteps yet again as her manager has begun campaigning for the song-and-dance show to utilize the singer's catalog of pop songs in a future episode of the show.

Britney's manager, Adam Leber, posted on his Twitter account the following: "Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of GLEE? Thoughts?" He then went on to trending the topic.

Unlike Madonna, Spears has a back catalog spanning just a decade of album releases, beginning with ...Baby One More Time in 1999. Her most recent release was 2008's comeback release Circus, her sixth studio album, with 2009's The Singles Collection marking her 10th anniversary and debuting the new song "3."

It's entirely possible, however, that even with a comparatively short career, Spears' music could definitely lend itself to what could possibly be another incredibly popular episode of the surprise hit show.

The first season is set to end mid-June. Perhaps a Britney-themed episode would be a great way to bring it back for a second season come fall, though...
