Willow Smith releases new single, 'Whip my Hair'

Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, is proving talent runs in the family, and it starts young.

The 9-year-old girl leaked recordings of her first single on Tuesday, reports MTV.com. The song, titled “Whip my Hair,” is already garnering praise from other singers and some are even comparing Smith to singer Rihanna.

Still, this isn’t the first sign of talent seen in Smith. She’s had multiple acting roles, including parts in her father’s “I am Legend” and alongside Abigail Breslin in “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.” She also did voice-over work for “Madagascar 2.”

Her multi-talented family has already had success this year, with older brother Jaden starring in the remake of “The Karate Kid,” with Jackie Chan, and mother Jada Pinkett receiving praise for TNT’s drama series “Hawthorne.” Father Will currently has no less than 35 projects in development, shown on The Internet Movie Database.
