Winehouse Off the Hook in Husband's Case
According to Reuters, Amy Winehouse is off the hook in her husband's witness tampering court case.
The British police said that she is no longer a suspect in the case against Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, where he is charged with trying to pervert the course of justice and inflicting grievous bodily harm. Fielder-Civil has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Winehouse's rep says, "[Winehouse is] pleased to be discounted from the investigation and she thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her."
The troubled singer has expressed her sadness over her husband's incarceration. However, she was unable to make it to his court hearing this week, which has sentenced him to remain in police custody until April. Winehouse was on her way to perform at a party for Louis Vuitton in Paris.
Earlier this week, an appeal case over marijuana charges that involves Winehouse, her husband, and her hairdresser in Norway was postponed due to her husband's incarceration.
