Winehouse Not Getting Divorced
Rumors suggest that Amy Winehouse's marriage to hubby Blake Fielder-Civil is anything but stable, People.com reports.
There has been alleged cheating on both parts, yet there has been no decision made regarding the gossip going around about the couple getting divorced, according to a source close to the singer. The insider continues by stating, "[I] don't think that anyone who knows them and cares about them doesn't have an opinion about why they should [split], but it's not happening now."
The current priority is said to be Winehouse's well being, which has been a great concern for both near and dear ones as well as fans. The pop star has reached a point where her battle against drug addiction is more talked about than her musical success.
On Friday the Grammy-winner was arrested for assaulting two men in the Camden area of North London, BBC News Reports. Police stated that when brought to the Holborn police station the singer was in no fit state for questioning. Winehouse had to spend the night locked up before she was released Saturday morning after being issued a caution for common assault.
The singer is said to have head-butted one man and continued to punch another one, Yahoo News explains. This took place in the early hours of Wednesday.
Winehouse admitted to the assault and is said to have been fully co-operative, confirmed the singer's spokesperson. Although being cautioned, no further action will be taken against her.
Winehouse's father said that he wanted his daughter admitted to a mental hospital. He stated, "I want her sectioned...The situation is getting out of control. I want her off the street."
He claimed it would be the best thing to do in order to protect her from herself, explains the UK's News of the World.
