Winnie, from 'The Wonder Years,' Is Pregnant
Danica McKellar is devoted to math. So devoted in fact, she delayed her pregnancy test to focus on finishing her third book, Hot X: Algebra Exposed.
“I didn't want any distractions. That only lasted a day – I couldn't stop thinking about it and I caved! You can't try to put that off,” McKellar tells People magazine.
McKellar, a successful mathematician, will always be remembered for her classic role as Winnie in The Wonder Years. But now McKellar is taking on a new role: Mom.
McKellar, 35, is expecting her first child with husband Mike Verta, People reports. The two have been married for one year.
“I'm nearing the end of my first trimester and I'm so excited – I've been bursting to tell people,” McKellar gushes to the mag.
The prospect of having a child inside her seemed surreal at first, McKeller says, but once the couple heard the baby’s heartbeat the tears flowed steadily.
