Witness Claims Chris Brown's Tears For Michael Jackson Were Fake
Was Chris Brown being genuine when he performed at the BET Awards this past Sunday?
According to some, he was not. A source told US Weekly that Brown was not really crying, but that instead right before Brown went on stage to perform, his bodyguard applied eye drops to the singer’s eyes. “He rubbed it in and started crying,” the insider claims.
The R&B singer performed Michael Jackson’s classic "Man in the Mirror" as a tribute to the late "King of Pop." The moment at which Brown fell to the ground and delivered what looked like a tearful demise caused a stir all around the nation amongst critics and viewers.
A rep for Brown, however, denies the claim, saying that Brown was only “moved” to be able to perform in honor of Jackson. Though the genuity of his performance is questionable, it is still the singer’s greatest attempt to redeem himself since his very publicized altercation with Rihanna.
