'The Women of SNL' Special Set to Air November 1
Tina Fey and co. will host primetime special
According to NBC and The Associated Press, Tina Fey will return to Saturday Night Live. The 30 Rock star will appear on a primetime special showcasing the skit program’s funniest ladies.
The special will include vintage clips as well as original material featuring Fey and other SNL female favorites, including Ana Gasteyer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Laraine Newman, Amy Poehler, and Kristen Wiig.
Tina Fey and star of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler, are famous for their imitations of political rivals Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.
Currently, Kristen Wiig is the resident funny woman on SNL.
Saturday Night Live has been on the air since 1975.
The two-hour special, “The Women of SNL”, is scheduled to air on NBC November 1.
