Work has begun on Tim Burton's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Those will be in Tim Burton's movie, " Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" have been announced with some familiar faces.

The cast of Tim Burton's much anticipated; "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" has finally been announced.

According to The Los Angeles Times, "Work is underway on Tim Burton's decidedly un-Disney adaptation of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," and the principal cast has been announced. The latest additions to be made public are Anne Hathaway...who catapulted to fame in "The Princess Diaries" and will reportedly portray the White Queen, and Crispin Glover...who is coming off of "Beowulf" (and was so memorable in the "Back to the Future" movies) and is slated for the Knave of Hearts role. Johnny Depp...is the Mad Hatter in a movie that Burton told me he hoped would have 'a gravity that most film versions haven't had.'"

"Alice," will be Depp and Burton's seventh collaboration. Other roles that were announced were another repeated castmate of Depp's, Helena Bonham Carter who will play The Red Queen. The title role of "Alice," will be played by Australian actress Mia Wasikowska and British funnyman Matt Lucas will play the infamous numskulls, Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

As for the plot of the movie, according to Reuters, "His [Depp's] character is put on trial for stealing the Queen of Hearts' tarts, and is defended by Alice."
