Wyclef Jean Will Perform for BET Haiti Concert

Wyclef Jean will be one of many performers at a Haiti Aid concert put on by BET.

BET will be putting on a two-hour concert and telethon that will benefit earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah, and Pharrell will be the hosts of the telethon.

This event will be called “SOS Saving OurSelves—Help For Haiti,” and it will air live on many networks, including BET, MTV, VH1, and Centric.

“SOS” will feature performances by many top artists, including Wyclef Jean, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Drake, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke, and Monica.

The telethon will donate the money to aid agencies such as Yele Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.

This telethon will be similar to the “Hope For Haiti Now” telethon hosted by George Clooney on Jan. 22, which had over 80 million viewers and it has raised approximately $66 million so far.

“SOS” will air live at 8 pm EST on Friday, Feb. 5.
