You Too Can Drink 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer!'

Jones Soda Company announced a line of Buffy the Vampire Slayer-inspired sodas at San Diego’s Comic-Con and gave attendees free drinks. Jones has catered to the Sci-fi/fantasy loving public by releasing Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering sodas.

The sodas come in six flavors: Buffy’s Blue Bubblegum, Dawn’s a Centaur! (root beer), Xander’s Strawberry Lime Elixer, Twilight’s Old Moon Orange & Cream, Willows Green Apple Witch’s Brew, and Giles’s Grape Potion. You can order the limited edition sodas here.

Buffy creator Joss Whedon was in attendance at Comic-Con and announced that he will be writing and directing the upcoming Avengers movie.

Star Nicholas Brendon attended last week’s Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con to announce that he is is producing his own free web comic, Very Bad Koalas. When an interviewer told him that his character, Xandrs, is hooking up with Buffy’s sister, Dawn (played by Michelle Trachtenberg), he said:

“Well, you know that's the great thing about Joss, is that even if I had read the script during season 5, 6 or 7, and I thought that I wouldn't have gone that way, when it was done (I'd think) 'of course I would have gone that way.' I didn't have any input into the character; I just kind of went with it. Now, when I found out about the Xander and Dawn thing, I remember Michelle Trachtenberg's first day on the set and she was a baby. So I see Michelle as like a 12-13 year old girl, you know, whose mom brought her to the set. There is something a little skeevy about that.”
