Most normal people envy high-profile Hollywood stars. After all, everyone adores them, they get to wear the newest, most expensive fashions and basically make truckloads of money simply on the weight of their image. But like most things on the other side of the fence, being a star has its problems. Many people don't think about the time they spend flying around the world to shoot different movies on countless locations and the separation from family and friends.
Renee Zellweger, who has recently been promoting her new Bridget Jones movie entitled The Edge of Reason, has stated that she's ready for a break. Since the year 2000, she has appeared in eight movies, two movies a year, each with months of preparation and promotion as well as the actual shooting.
It's true that her proclivity in the film world has brought us a great deal of fine movies, among them Cold Mountain (for which she won an Oscar) and Chicago.
However, as rewarding as participating in these films might be, she has announced that she has no plans to do any films for the next year. She had been slated to portray Janis Joplin in an upcoming film, but that project encountered development issues, and her schedule is now free.
