Lindsay Lohan Arrested After Crash

Big surprise here: Lindsay Lohan crashed her Mercedes after drinking and was arrested for driving under the influence, and may be charged further for having cocaine in the back seat, early Saturday morning.

According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, the actress was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries after the single-car accident. She was behind the wheel with two other passengers in the car when she lost control and jumped a curb, hitting shrubbery. Lt. Mitch McCann said a substance that could be cocaine was found in the car as well.

"Officers tracked Miss Lohan to the local hospital where she was ultimately placed under arrest for '23152 avc' driving under the influence," he said to ITV News. "Due to the fact that Miss Lohan was admitted to the hospital for her injuries she was subsequently cited and released on this misdemeanor charge."

Lohan has reportedly checked herself into Promises addiction center in Malibu, where Britney Spears stayed earlier.
