DVD Dribble

It's time for the TV edition of the Dribble once again.

Isn't it great when you can watch your favorite TV shows anytime you want? Well, this month a couple of popular TV shows are making their way onto DVD.

This Dribble starts off with the classic TV/movie series Roots. The series about slavery was based on Alex Haley's best-selling novel and starred Levar Burton and Maya Angelou. It's been thirty years since the series was first viewed and now you can find it in stores as Roots (Four-Disc 30th Anniversary Edition). The DVD features audio commentary, documentaries, a featurette, interviews, and an electronic press kit.

In the TV show, Kyle XY, a family takes in a formerly institutionalized teenager who does not have the traits of a normal teenager, including not having a bellybutton. Kyle XY-The Complete First Season contains commentaries, exclusive show secrets as well as an alternate premiere and an extended season finale.

Noah's Arc-The Complete Second Season has made it's way to DVD. The LOGO channel show follows the lives of four gay men who live together in Los Angeles. The DVD does not include any special features.

Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox's hit '70s cop show, CHiPs, is up next. CHiPs-The Complete First Season comes in a six-disc set. The DVD includes "The Ride Out of Spanish Harlem: A Retrospective with Erik Estrada" featurette, along with introductions by Erik Estrada and trivia facts of the episodes.

The popular cartoon, Droopy, closes out this edition of the DVD Dribble. Ted Avery's Droopy-The Complete Theatrical Collection is made up of two discs. The DVD contains a documentary retrospective called "Droopy and Friends: A Laugh Back" and a gag reel.

The DVDs covered in this Dribble contained seasons of different types of TV shows. It had a mix of old favorites as well as some new shows.
