DVD Dribble
This edition of the DVD Dribble contains music-based DVDs. The DVDs covered range from '50s music to spoken word.
Fancy is Les Claypool's latest DVD. It shows the fan's perspective of his 2006 Summer tour. Most of the songs played during the concert are from his latest album, Of Whales and Woe. The DVD does not include any special features.
Singer/songwriter Henry Rollins took a break from music to speak his mind as a host of his own show on the IFC channel. The Henry Rollins Show: Season One is an uncut and uncensored three-disc set and contains all twenty episodes of the show's first season. This DVD does not include any special features either.
Jerry Lee Lewis: Greatest Live Performances of the '50s, '60s, and '70s is up next. The DVD shows 19 of Lewis's performances throughout the decades. It includes his hit songs "Great Balls of Fire," "A Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On," and "Breathless." The DVD features an interview with Jerry Lee Lewis in the original Sun Studio, and the High School Confidential trailer.
It's been 30 years since the start of England's most popular rock festival, Glastonbury. Music documentarian Julien Temple chronicles its existence on the DVD, Glastonbury. Among those featured in the documentary are Bjork, Billy Bragg, Michael Eavis, James Brown, Steve Patrick Morrissey, Nick Cave, and David Bowie. The two-disc set includes audio commentary by Julien Temple and Jarvis Cocker, interviews with James Brown, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, and Moby, and the trailers.
The last DVD in this Dribble is another Henry Rollins DVD. Henry Rollins: Uncut from NYC shows footage from his Spoken Word Tour. There are no special features on this DVD either.
