Harry Potter Gets His Own Theme Park

Fantasy series to be incarnated in Orlando.

Can't get enough Harry Potter? Well, come 2009, Orlando, Florida will have just the thing for you. They're creating a Harry Potter theme park, which features some of the most familiar landmarks of Harry's world: Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest, and Hogsmeade village. Author J.K. Rowling has been monitoring the plans and working with the team creating "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" to ensure that fans of both the books and the movies won't be let down. Rowling called the plans "incredibly exciting." And though there won't be any Harry character doppelgangers running around the new park, Universal Studio's Scott Trowbridge assures fans that they won't come away disappointed.Universal Studio's creative team has set up camp right on the set of the movie to make sure they're catching every last pertinent detail in order to attain that feeling of authenticity for fans. The theme park will trail the release of the final book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," on July 21st of 2007. Also coming out this year is the fifth Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," on July 13th, a week before the final book is released.
