Jail Has Smartened Paris
Who's ever said being smart wasn't cool? The jailed heiress, Paris Hilton has just caught on to that phenomenon while sitting in jail.
Hilton has decided that playing the dumb role is no longer "cute." Hilton has decided she now wants to be smart and make a difference. It has been reported that she is now reading newspapers, like The Wall Street Journal and The New York Post, along with the Bible.
The sudden change of character came after the judge ordered 26-year-old Hilton back to jail when she was released after serving only three days of her 45-day sentence for violation of probation.
In a telephone interview with news broadcaster Barbara Walters, Hilton told Walters she was not eating or sleeping, severely depressed and felt like she was in a cage. In a statement released through Hilton's lawyers yesterday, it said she does not plan to appeal her return to prison and will serve out her time.
Although getting attention in the media is what Hilton is known for, besides the infamous sex tape, she said she hopes the media and the public would focus on more important things in the world, like the troops fighting the war in Iraq.
Has jail made Ms. Hilton turn over a new leaf, and will the smart act last?
