J.K. Rowling to tour the US

J.K. Rowling goes on the road to promote the latest Potter book.

J.K. Rowling is set to embark on her first trek across the US since 2000 the year when she was just becoming a literary sensation and long before "Harry Potter" went from a single novel to a seven-book series. She will make appearances in three cities to promote her latest offering.

She will start her tour on Oct. 15 at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles followed by a stop at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans three days later. She will wrap up the tour with two readings on Oct. 19 at New York City's Carnegie Hall. She will give a reading of the book, as well as answer questions after the readings and sign books.

Rowling's seventh novel, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be released on July 21. J.K. Rowling has said that this will be the final book in the beloved children's series about a young wizard.
