Two More Join Stiller
Two more actors have joined Ben Stiller's ensemble comedy "Tropic Thunder." Owen Wilson and Nick Nolte have joined the cast, which will be directed by comedian Stiller. In addition to the two stars Jack Black is set to play a comedian who must kick his drug habit while filming, and Robert Downey Jr. will play Kirk Lazarus, the greatest actor of his generation. Bill Hader, Steve Coogan, Jay Baruchel, and more round out the cast.
"Tropic Thunder" follows a group of actors who are on location filming a war movie and discover that the plot is becoming their reality. It shows how "everything goes wrong during the making of a big-budget war movie."
The script was written by Stiller with the help of Justin Theroux and Etan Cohen. He will also produce the DreamWorks comedy with Stuart Cornfeld and Red Hour Films.
