Bob Barker: Really Not Partial To Rosie
Since his retirement, Bob Barker, former host of" The Price Is Right" after 35-years, the anticipation of who will be his replacement has been talk of the town.
Barker has not expressed any favoritism toward who his choice would be for filling his shoes if the decision were in his hands, not even for Rosie O'Donnell who seems to be the making the most noise about the position.
At the Daytime Emmy Award Barker's statement was taken as a point for O'Donnell. He told reporters there was no doubt that O'Donnell would make a fine host for the game show. Wednesday Barker told the Associated Press that he never meant his comment to be taken as an endorsement for any particular candidate.
"I have not been asked for my opinion, nor have I expressed one," Barker said. "I think there are several candidates who could do the show, and Rosie is certainly one of them."CBS and FremantleMedia North America, which produces "The Price Is Right," have yet to announce Barker's successor.
"The Price Is Right" is on hiatus until the new season starts in the fall.
