Still waiting to Exhale: Brown and Whitney at it again
How will I know if he really loves me? Well Whitney, he probably doesn't love you, if he hits you. That's right, Bobby Brown has done it again. Brown has gotten himself in trouble with the law, and this time it's personal.
Sunday night was a wild night for the couple as Brown apparently slapped Houston across the face, when an argument ensued late that evening. The police were called and arrived at the couple's home in Alpharetta, GA at approximately 8:30 p.m. They found Houston with a cut lip and a bruised cheek. Houston told the police that there was an argument and that it had gotten out of control. No word on what the argument was about.
Police could not question Brown because he had fled the scene. Authorities and Whitney are left wondering "Where do broken hearts go?" Apparently, he was heading to California or at least that's what Houston thinks. Houston has not pressed any charges yet, but because domestic violence is in question, police could file a suit without Houston's consent.
The couple married in 1992 and has been plagued with rumors of drug abuse, domestic abuse, and poor record sales. In 2000, Brown made it his prerogative to drink and drive, but was arrested and served 26 days in a Florida jail. That same year, Houston was caught with possession of marijuana at Hawaii's Keahole-Kona International Airport, but managed to flee the scene by way of, you guessed it - a plane, before police could arrest her. She later pleaded no contest and the case was dismissed. More recently, in August, Brown was arrested for a probation violation while dining at a seafood restaurant. He was briefly jailed and was ordered to complete a session in rehabilitation.
The recent conflict, this past Sunday, will only bring more bad publicity to the celebrity couple, but in the words of Whitney Houston, "it's not right, but it's okay."
